Overview
This is the second of four covers I produced in 1989 for First Publishing for a four-issue limited series comic, Sensei. It told of the adventures of Tadashi Natori, a time-travelling martial artist who finds himself trapped in a besieged fortress in the future — and battling Tong warriors in the past.
I enjoyed experimenting with different media during the production of this series. This image is oil paint with highlights in oil pastel on artboard.
